we bought jack his first baby einstein dvd today and showed it to him. he liked it, but liked the remote control more...

jack loves his bath these days. we taught him how to splash which he adores to do and leaves him surprised and laughing all the time.

4th of july fireworks

we went up to the roof at 9pm tonight to watch the fireworks. it was a beautiful night when we got up there, but then it started to rain. jack was a little bit scared of the fireworks, but loved hanging out with a bunch of people on our roof.

poor little jack

jack had his first cold and fever yesterday, and the poor boy has been really cranky and miserable. he spent most of last night tossing and turning and throwing up. when his fever hit 101 at around 2am last night, john called the doctor. i don't think the doctor was very happy to have to deal with first time parents that late at night on a holiday.

jack is doing much better today with no fever although he is still tired and a little sick. hopefully, it will be all gone by tomorrow.

we plan on taking jack to the roof at 9pm to watch the fireworks if he is awake. happy 4th all.

jack, john and i went to mohonk this weekend. it was really fun - highlights for us including swimming with jack in the pool (he did not like the cold water though), going on hikes around the lake with jack in the baby bjorn, having group dinners, and playing paddle tennis.
